Pendragon House benefits from having two acres of mature gardens that border the Kennet & Avon canal at the bottom. There is a gated access point on to the canal towpath from which you can explore the surrounding area either by bicycle or on foot. The River Avon meanders through the Limpley Stoke valley and sits just below the canal, an enjoyable dip is possible on certain stretches of the river where it slows; if you don't want to get your feet wet there are a myriad number of bridleways and public footpaths to enjoy.

In the garden itself there is a full size tennis court and a basketball hoop and sitting above this is the outdoor seating area and walled garden from which the full glory of the valley can be taken in. From the eating area you can keep a watchful eye on the children as they make full use of the large sunken trampoline and play equipment.

Bordering the play area is a stone wall with a gated access through to the four acres of woodland. Evidence of old quarries presumably from the creation of the canal are seen quite clearly and the shade from the mixed broadleaved trees allows for a pleasant walk when the wild garlic is is bloom.
