Pendragon House - Luxury Self-Catering Holiday Let
Welcome to Pendragon House - whether you want to have a secluded family break, a group gathering, or visit the many points of historical and cultural interest, using us as a base, the house will work for you.
This is the second luxury property in our portfolio and offers something different to our georgian townhouse 'The Residence'. Pendragon House provides self-catering accommodation at the highest standard with six double bedrooms and a further two bedrooms that can sleep a further three in absolute comfort. Furthermore, there is a dog room that has comfortably held three large dogs connected to an outside run visible from the kitchen.
It was built in the early nineteenth century and has been almost completely refurbished over the last three years to a good quality of finish.
We rent the house out for weddings and other special parties, corporate away days or just a get together for families and friends which because of its location in the Limpley Stoke/Monkton Combe valleys, provides a stunning setting with gorgeous examples of gentle English landscapes.
The valley is a communications centre and contains the main road between Bath and Warminster, the River Avon, a railway line and the Kennett & Avon canal, close to the Dundas Basin and Aquaduct. Pendragon has it's own small canal boat, the Charlotte Dundas and as guests, you have full access to her, for trips to Bath or Bradford upon Avon - all with no locks to navigate through, just a swing-bridge or two. There are thre pubs on the canal:- the George at Bathampton, the Cross Guns at Avoncliffe and Fun With Dick and Jane at Bradford - all offer food. The canal path allows immediate access to the countryside with bicycles, and the river Avon, and there are a myriad number of public footpaths that criss-cross the valley to many beautlful villages and points of interest.
Pendragon House has two acres of garden, all fenced off for dogs and four acres of unfenced woodland, which are quite beautiful to ramble through at all times of the year. The tennis court is full-sized and is overlooked by the bountiful cottage garden and covered BBQ and seating area.
Being situated just three miles from the centre of Bath, yet overlooking open countryside makes this an ideal base from which to explore the surrounding area noted for it outstanding natural and architectural beauty.
